Zons Win Conference, Seeding #2 Overall Coming into Nationals

The Zons played their cross town rivals this weekend, the Minnesota Valkyries, and came out on top, not just for the match, but for the whole Red conference (Match Report). This puts the Zons 2nd overall coming into the national tournament set to start November 11th in Virginia Beach, VA.

Zons Win Big in New York

The Zons put in another hard forward effort against very forward heavy New York Women, and came up with a big win this weekend in The Big Apple. This keeps the Zons at the head of the conference and ready to make a big run in the upcoming National Tournament. Final score was 47-10. Zons Travel to New York

The Amazons are on the road again this weekend, this time with almost a full b-side team as well. This large travel party is heading to New York City to play the New York women on their home turf. The New York women come into the match with a record of 2-2 looking to break above 500, while the Amazons need to defend their lead at the top with a record of 3-1. This is the part of the season where getting those extra bonus points can mean the difference between winning the conference and which tier of the national tournament your team will end up in. Amazons Shut Out Surfers

This Sunday the Zons walked on the field looking for redemption and left with a big win against the previously undefeated San Diego Surfers. The Zons beat the Surfers 35-0 in a forward heavy battle remeniscent of many historically forward driven teams that the Zons are known for. Amazons Prepare for a Re-Match

The Amazon’s first true away match last weekend against the San Diego Surfers was also the first true test under pressure. The Zons came away with less than they hoped for(game summary) and are preparing for this weekend’s re-match on their home turf hungry for a win. Off to San Diego!

This weekend the Amazons are taking on the San Diego Surfers on their home turf. This should prove to be the toughest matchup of the season for either team so far, both handily beating their opponents in the first two matches. Amazons 2-0 Going into the off weekend!

The Amazons are coming into their off weekend with a great record and high goals for the rest of their games to come. After winning against both the Minnesota Valkyries(64-10) and New York(37-5), the Amazons get this extra week to prepare for the biggest matchup in the league so far, the San Diego Surfers. The Surfers also have a perfect record coming into the contest, and will be defending their home turf on the 1st of October.
